5 Secrets To Lose Weight, Save Money, And Stop Acne!

!±8± 5 Secrets To Lose Weight, Save Money, And Stop Acne!

If you have tried everything to lose weight and cant, or if you want acne free skin, this may be the right solution for you. The best part, is that the tips below will save you money!

If you are ready to get serious about weight loss in the new year, this can help. However, if you are going to quit or give up easily, then you should read something else.

What I am going to teach you are the most powerful secrets in weight loss. These secrets can give you good, acne free skin; help you lose weight; help you sleep well at night; and help boost your energy.

I do not want to sell you any weight loss products. You don't need lap-band surgery, crazy supplements, or a ton of money. These secrets are cheap and easy. All you need is to give a little more effort than you do in your normal daily life.

What I will tell you is based on years of medical research and personal loss of over 80 pounds. I got more energy, my acne cleared up (after 10 years) and I look great!!

Are you ready?

Lets begin:

Secret 1. You must Eat Right! Your body is a miraculous machine. Like all machines, it needs clean fuel for best performance. Most people think that healthy food is boring food. You don't have to eat boring food to get fit. For a healthy, balanced meal, all you need is healthy complex, carbs, protein and veggies. You must however, avoid at all costs MSG, corn syrup and processed foods.

What are processed foods? Processed food is any manufactured food. Processed foods are easy, cheap and convenient. If your food comes with preservatives or was made in a factory, it is probably processed. You should eat good tasting, healthy food instead of food created in a factory.

Why are processed foods bad for you? Processed food makes your body slower and weaker. Process foods do not give you good, sustainable energy. The reason is that your body has to work harder to digest man-made chemicals than it does to digest natural ingredients.

Junk food can also make you emotional. Alcohol, drugs and (yes ) food all work the same way. Your body will react to what you put into it. Junk food (like other chemicals) can cause emotional highs and lows. This brings us to our next point, Junk food is toxic and causes acne in some people.

Your skin is an organ, when you eat bad food, your body must detox. This results in cystic acne (the worst kind) and I.B.S. (upset stomach). Finally junk food can make you fat. Junk food contains unnatural ingredients, excessive amounts of fat, sodium, sugar, MSG, etc.

Now, the bad news; Eating good while eating clean takes work.

You will need to cook your own food or hire a personal chef. If you are like me, you can't afford a personal chef. Cooking is very easy (when you follow recipes). Cooking can be fun and you can even involve your spouse / family.

But you say; I have no time! If you do not have the time, turn off your TV for 1 hour and use that time to cook all of your meals for the week.

Or, if you really need to watch your TV show, place a TV in the kitchen so you can view your channel while you cook. Kill 2 birds with one stone. Then fry one in olive oil and bake the other. Cooking fresh does not have to be boring or hard to plan. There are millions of pages dedicated to easy recipes on the internet. Just be sure you avoid too much sugar and too much salt.

Completely avoid premade foods, this includes sodas and fast food. If you have a sweet tooth, you can eat cookies, cake etc. But remember, you must make your own bread, cake or pastries. These treats taste way better than premade. Even cake mixes are bad as they too have all kinds of junk ingredients. The rule is that you have to make it fresh and you cannot use processed ingredients. Now, you can't eat just cake, but less than 60 years ago many skinny people had dessert every single night. Those people were in better shape than people (on average) today.

- Why make your own food? If you make your own food, you will burn calories while you make it. Also, if you cook it yourself, you will think twice before you just mindlessly pig out. Sitting in your car driving to the local fast food joint doesn't burn as many calories as standing up and cooking your own food.

- What to do? Cook in bulk. Bake chicken, fish, veggies or meats. You can bake several different kinds of entrees at once. While baking your protein, make side dishes on the stovetop. Once done, you can store them (fridge or freezer) in plastic containers. Microwave these containers for a quick meal throughout the week. Cooking at home is a fraction of the cost of eating out. Like all living things, you need to rebuild. This ONLY happens through rest and food.

Secret 2 You need to Sleep well. Your body needs rest. Most people do not rest enough. Sleep 8-10 hours each night. If you are getting enough sleep, you won't even need an alarm clock to wake up.. If you go to sleep early, you will wake up refreshed. If you go to sleep late, you will want to sleep more. Early to bed can be hard at first, but if you follow the other steps, you will want deep sleep and your body will demand it.

Secret 3. Exercise to burn energy. Food is made of calories. Calories are a unit of energy. Energy not used is converted to either fat or waste. Use more energy than you eat, you will lose fat. How can you use energy? Move more. "Couch to 5 k" is an excellent running program. You tube is full of boot camp type exercise videos. P90X is good program too.

Any exercise program will work as long as it meets these requirements: - You must sweat - You must be exhausted at the end - You must challenge yourself as much as you can (every time) - You must do some kind of exercise you want. Do moderate physical activity that you enjoy.

Secret 4. Stay Motivated! If you are embarrassed at the gym, you will soon hate the gym and then shortly after, not go at all. You don't need a gym membership, you can work out anywhere. How? Get active! Go for a long walk uphill. If you have no hills, go for a walk at the park. If you don't have a park, find some stairs (hotel, office, whatever). Run up and down the stairs. If you can't run, walk up and down. If it's sunny, go swimming. If it's cold, go ice skating. If you are bedridden, get some mail order weights and move your arms around.

However, the best moderate exercise is walking upright, uphill. Physics tells us that energy use is highest when moving against gravity. Walk uphill. Run uphill. If on a treadmill, you NEED TO NOT LEAN! Leaning on a treadmill is not a workout. Stand up - feel the burn. It's weakness and fat leaving your body.

Secret 5. Have fun. A boring workout is work and usually you need to be paid to go to work. There are many workouts where you can have fun and not be bored. Ride a bike, walk in the mall (without stopping), walk on a beach, go swimming at the beach, etc etc. The gym can be fun too, but use some variety so you don't get burned out or bored.

These weight loss secrets require work but will work for you. Try it for 3 weeks and you will see a noticeable improvement.

Living in the Philippines on an Entry-Level Employee Income

!±8± Living in the Philippines on an Entry-Level Employee Income

If you held an income of 00 per month and like relaxing on beautiful beaches, then living in the Philippines is a very attractive option that you should think about. If you could set up a consulting business or any other line of employment that allows you to work anywhere you want, a simple entry-level pay of 00 every month is enough to live a very luxurious lifestyle in the Philippines.

What's the most basic question for someone thinking about living in the Philippines? Of course, it's rent -- and how much it is. Rent for one or two bedroom apartment in Manila could cost you anywhere from 0-00 every month. Your place will be very Westernized, and not a broken down house that most people will imagine when living in an Asian country. And this would be at the centralized location that is very urban and modern at the same time, not a rural province. If however getting away from the city is your main goal, then your costs are definitely going to be cheaper than it would be to live in the city.

Those who want to live in the Philippines and have desires for socializing are in for a treat -- Manila has some very great locations for nightlife and general fine living. These locations are vibrant, and have great friendly people, and if you go to the right places they're not too overcrowded. There are great Western restaurants, great communication technology and a reasonable amount of western amenities. Food can easily cost you about 0-0 every month specially if you factor in eating out at restaurants around three times a week. To have a great point of reference, living in the Philippines with this lifestyle would cost you at least 0-00 every month if you live in the USA, possibly more if you live in expensive cities such as New York City. Utilities are cheaper as well; you can count on spending 0-0 to pay your electricity bills, a telephone, broadband Internet, cable television, and cell phone services.

If you want to treat yourself to more luxury when living in the Philippines, such as getting a car and paying for maid services than the amount you will be paying every month will depend on how luxurious you want to be. Any remaining income you have can be spent on personal entertainment such as nightlife and shopping, which the urban areas in the Philippines have plenty of. The beautiful thing about living in the Philippines is that you can truly design your lifestyle to fit your monthly income, and not the other way around. The important thing is that before you go pack your bags and migrate to the Philippines, is that you do your research and get the facts straight depending on your wants and needs and your desires. It is also important that you find someone to consult would organize and gone ahead and has actually done what you want to do. However, living in the Philippines while making a North American income is definitely one of the better and more luxurious moves that you can make for yourself.

The Brief History of New Balance Athletic Shoes

!±8± The Brief History of New Balance Athletic Shoes

New Balance is an American footwear company and the head company locates in Boston, Massachusetts. It started as the name of New Balance Arch Support Company and sold arch supports and other shoe accessories exclusively. As the specialized shoe design, New Balance began to expand in the 1970' s. Today this company has possessed the brands Dunham, Aravon, Warrior and Brine.

New Balance Arch Support Company was founded in 1906 by William J. Riley, a 33 year old English immigrant to the US. The original company then only provided some accessories designed for making people's shoes fit better. In 1934, Arthur Hall joined the company and took charge of New Balance's marketing strategy that was to advertise their products to people who needed to be standing for hours everyday for the jobs. Some sources show that most of New Balance company's primary customers at that time were police officers and waiters.

The first New Balance tennis shoe (called the "Trackster") was designed out by Riley' s daughter and son-in-law in 1961, however, New Balance did not gain much benefit until it switched hands to Jim Davis. In the US there was a jogging craze in the 1970s, and Boston was just at the epicenter of that storm.

In fact, New Balance had only six employees who manufactured roughly 30 pairs of shoes a day. Those specialty shoes were designed for customers with specific needs. Davis was greatly successful in expanding markets for the company. In very short time, New Balance athletic shoes had been in large demand in North America.

New Balance experienced much things in the last few decades. New factories were opened in England and later in China for the market expansion. There are some principles in New Balance First, New Balance must keep five factories in the US. The company also maintains that they do not need any celebrity spokesperson in advertisement. Most people look it as a consumer-friendly policy.

!±8± High Heel Shoes Are In

High heel shoes have become very popular in the market. You can find various footwear brands manufacturing high heels of various sizes. Some of the popular designer footwear brands manufacturing high heels include Charles David, Frye, Mercy 13 and many more.

Every woman wants to stock at least a pair of high heels in her closet. These shoes are basically slim and sleek and provides a sensuous look. They raise the heel of the foot of the wearer higher than the toes giving an aesthetic illusion of more slender, longer and toned legs. These shoes are available in a variety of styles with different shaped heels, which include pumps, stilettos, wedges, tapered, block and blade.

The high heel shoes when worn gives the woman an appealing and stylish look. The entire definition of fashion and style changes when a woman wears these shoes and walks around the streets or at the parties. They become the centre of attraction. The height of the heel generally varies from 4 inches to 8 inches. However, some heels even exceed this limit.

The high heels came into fashion in 1950s. At that time they were sturdier and did not provide high comfort to the feet. The shoes were designed in a way so that the wearer did not fall down or loose control while walking. Between the 15th and 17th century, these shoes were considered to be a symbol of higher strata. With passage of time, these shoes are somewhat less of a social status symbol. Today, they have become more easily available in the market.

Stiletto heel shoes are the most popular high heel shoes among fashion conscious women in the market. These shoes come in different patterns and designs. From boots to sling backs to ankle high, there are varying style heeled shoes available. Although it is true that sandals have always been the most comfortable footwear but these heel shoes are not out from the list of the comfortable footwear. Apart from being comfortable, they are stylish, fashionable and chic shoes. They are not only used for office wears but can also be used as casual wears. Just imagine being dressed up in a black designer gown with a stiletto heel shoe! If you attend a party by wearing this outfit, you would surely attract many people's attention. Apart from the gown, you can even team these shoes with skirts and dresses. Depending on the occasion, you need to team up your high heel footwear with your matching dress and jewellery.

Choosing the right colour stiletto heel shoe is very important. There are plenty of colours for you to choose from. However, silver and black solour stilettos are the most popular. Some stilettos even come up with embellishments.

When wearing these high heel shoes, women always need to remain careful while walking. Women must held their head high and walk slowly and steadily when wearing these heels. If not walked in a proper manner, the heel might affect your posture as well as your feet health.

Do's and Dont's When Shopping For Combat Boots

!±8± Do's and Dont's When Shopping For Combat Boots

Combat boots are a specialty type of shoe which certain individuals may find necessary whether due to their employment or their taste in this style of shoe. No matter what your reason for purchasing a boot of this style may be, there are a few do's and dont's to keep in mind when embarking on your shopping trip. This will help to ensure not only that you choose the right type of boot but some other accompanying factors as well.

Do try to wear the right pair of socks when shopping for combat boots. When buying this type of shoe you will find that wearing the same type of sock every time you wear the boots will ensure a perfect fit. Since boots of this style should be worn in a manner where the foot does not slip and slide at all within the boot, it is important that you wear the style of sock to try on the boot which you plan on wearing all the time with the combat boot.

Do be prepared to spend a good amount of money on this style of boot. Although some may be shopping with a set budget in mind, it is a wise idea to not be too close-minded with regard to price. A combat style of boot can cost a few hundred dollars for a few different reasons. First, this boot is durable in nature in that it will stand the test of time as well as stand up to the elements in which it is worn. Secondly, the material is often one which is pricier in cost therefore the overall cost of the boot will be higher as well. This is not to say that you can't get a good deal on these boots. Simply try to keep an open mind with regard to the price tag on these shoes.

Don't be afraid to try on different styles of combat boot. There are a variety of boots which fall within the combat category. For those who must wear the boots to work you should purchase a pair with employment uniform requirements in mind. However, if you are buying this style of boot for leisure wear then you may be able to be a bit adventurous with regard to the specific style of the boot.

Don't sacrifice quality for a less expensive price tag. As mentioned above, these types of boots can be a bit pricey in nature. For those who are on a budget and looking for this style of boot, be sure to take a close look at the overall quality of the boot which you are considering buying so that you don't choose a less than adequate pair of boots for a cheap price. You will find that it is well worth the money put out on this type of boots in order to get a well-made pair. Shop around for good deals on combat boots but keep in mind that purchasing a quality pair of boots for a higher price will pay off in the end by keeping you from having to buy a new pair a year down the road.

Masai Barefoot Technology - The Popular Styles

!±8± Masai Barefoot Technology - The Popular Styles

The success and popularity of Masai Barefoot Technology in the United States is very impressive. Highlighted on several television shows programs, written up in several magazines, and chatted about on several websites, the MBT has been the talk of the town because of the several benefits that thousands have been drawn to. Equally impressive is the wide variety of styles available, versus a couple of years ago. The newer styles offer the same core features, but with much more unique styles to fit all types of occasions. If you had been reluctant to buy a pair of them because of the lack of style found in them, then now is the time to reconsider. Below is a summary of the different types of MBT shoes available.

MBT Styles

The sport trainer collection is a style for the avid fitness walker. Among the different types of Masai Barefoot Technology, the Sport and Sport High are some of the more popular available. If intense training is your ultimate goal, than look no further. The MBT Sport is what started the whole craze. Available in black, white and gray, these sneakers have a one and a half inch pivot sole which produces all the benefits like challenging the muscles. This shoe is considered the step one shoe. The Sport High is the step two footwear and is for those who wish to graduate to a higher level of intensity in their workout. It is recommended that one only move up to this level after wearing the first type for a month or more.

Another popular style of MBT is the casual collection. These offer all the same benefits as the other types of footwear, but are meant for wearing day to day, whether it be for wearing to work, out to eat, doing errands, you know...casual stuff. Two popular styles include the Lami, an offspring of the Mary Jane that comes equipped with an adjustable strap, and the M.Walk, which is a great all-around shoe that features durability and damage resistance.

"These boots are made for walking" rings true with the MBT boots collection, which includes the popular style Tambo. This good looking boot will take your winter wardrobe to a whole new level. It features all the same benefits as the aforementioned footwear, plus a full grain leather upper with a zippered shaft. A little expensive, being priced at 0. But who said style comes cheap?

The sandal series from MBT is the last to highlight. I know it's hard ti imagine a nice summer day, walking around in sandals unless you are lucky enough to live in California or Florida, but I thought it was worth mentioning so you can plan ahead. They have a nice variety of sandals including the Kisumu and the Staka.

You can find many walking shoes out there, but the Masai Barefoot Technology has succeeded in creating a niche in the shoe market by offering several health benefits you just won't find in other footwear. It is very appealing that you can now find a product solution for any season, and for various needs.

Meat Nutrition Facts

!±8± Meat Nutrition Facts

Meat Facts.
One of nature's most balanced foods and is filled with the nutrients that your body needs to build and maintain muscle, gain strength and vitality!

A meat based high protein diet is good for you. Red meat and poultry are great sources of protein and nutrients and should be made part of a balanced diet, but always in moderation.

Interesting Meat Facts:
• Cows were first domesticated for beef in the regions of Greece and Turkey about 4,000 years ago.

• There are about 1.3 billion cattle in the world today, more than 200 million in India.

• Beef is one of the best sources of protein, B12, niacin, zinc, B2 and iron.

• A cow is more valuable for its milk, cheese, butter, yogurt than it is for its beef.

• The average lifespan of a cow is 7 years. The oldest cow ever recorded was Big Bertha. She reached 48 in 1993.

• Bacon is one of the oldest meats on history; the Chinese were preserving pork bellies around 1500 B.C.

• Wild turkeys can fly for short distances up to 55 mph and can run up to 20 mph, domesticated turkeys can't fly.

• In a turkey the active muscles such as the legs store a lot of oxygen and become dark, while less active muscles like the breast remain white.

• You can order your steak cooked in six different ways in restaurants: very rare, rare, medium rare, medium, well done and very well done.

• Japan produces the world's most expensive Kobe beef. Cattles are fed a diet of beer and soybeans and even given a daily massage.

Meat Storage and Serving Ideas:
• It is sensible to reduce the number of meals that include red meat and substitute the red meat with lean poultry and fish.

• However red meat is not always higher in fat than white meat. This depends on how you cook the meat, the cut of the meat and what you add to it - creamy sauces and butter. Chicken wings and pork belly are rather high in fat too.

• Always buy fresh and unprocessed meats and make your own meals, rather than low quality processed meats like sausages and burgers or ready meals like lasagna as they tend to be full of saturated fats or include very little meat.

• Cut off all visible fat before cooking and skin on poultry.

• Brown minced meat in a pan until the fat runs off, then tip it and continue with cooking.

• Do not fry meat, frying adds nothing more than fat and calories into your meal.

• Meats should be stored in the refrigerator for no more than three days in the original wrapper.

• Leftover cooked meat can be kept four to five days in the refrigerator. Never eat after five days!

• Fresh beef is cherry-red in color. The darker the beef the older the animal. Fat should be white, not yellow.

• Try and include the vegetarian substitutes of meat- tofu and quorn in your dishes as much as you can.

• Never eat raw meat of any kind. Cooking destroys many toxins.

How Much Fat in Meat?
Turkey contains around 1% fat. It is an excellent lean source of protein, zinc and vitamin B.

Skinless chicken and ham both contain 3% fat. Always go for lean ham to avoid eating saturated fats and eat it in moderation as ham is high in salt, just like bacon which contains 16% fat. Chicken skin is one of the fattiest foods you can find so always choose the skinless variety.

Beef has about 5% fat, so it is ok to include it in your diet from time to time. Please check the fat content of the (minced) meat you buy at the supermarket.

Duck- 11% fat and lamb- 8% fat are both fatty meats, skinless duck- source of iron and zinc and lamb may be eaten occasionally.

Choosing the Right Soldering Iron for Electronics Work

!±8± Choosing the Right Soldering Iron for Electronics Work

Dan, one of my Facebook buddies, wrote to me asking about choosing a soldering iron:

"Quick question... I'm looking for a new soldering iron. would you recommend anything under 40 dollars without a soldering station? I'm getting tired of my RadioShack 45 watt iron with the screw on tips (and having to use a bench grinder everyday to clean the tips)."

I've been asked this question quite a bit, so I thought it was time to put something together explaining about soldering irons, flux and tinning.

Soldering Iron
The first thing I would recommend is getting an adjustable temperature soldering iron, and get used to setting the correct temperature for the different types of parts you are working with - hotter for larger gauge, and cooler for thinner, finer work. I typically work in the 325F to 400F range. I've been using the Velleman LAB1U, it has a built in multi-meter and power supply. These can be a bit pricey, so check out the Weller brand - sometimes they go on sale for around . I would avoid the Cold Heat soldering irons - they are unsuitable for delicate electronics, as are the big soldering "gun" type irons.

I used to use quite large gauge solder and tips, but just recently (after doing a lot of surface-mount work) switched to 1/32″ tip and 0.32″ diameter solder. This allows for much finer control with less overspill.

My soldering iron has a built in "damp sponge" to clean off excess solder inbetween uses. In the past I have used regular paper towels to do the same job, but a dedicated sponge with a circular hole cut in the middle really works best.

Helping Hands
The next thing I wouldn't be without is are some "Helping Hands" - these are pairs of crocodile clips that can be used to hold the workpiece while you concentrate on the soldering. this is really important, as it won't be long before you realise that you need 4 hands to solder things.

Even better than helping hands is a:

Bench Vice/Vise
I bought one of these 2 years ago and it's proven to be invaluable. The brand I use is "PanaVise" and they come with a range of bases and options - Fry's carries them, and they are available online. You can put the whole PCB you are working on into the vice, insert the components and then just flip it over to solder.

Flux Pen
Rosin Flux is a substance that encourages the solder to flow. If you find that you are having trouble getting a good solder joint then it's probably because the heat transfer isn't working correctly, or the components are dirty. Applying some solder flux to the joint area will really help - I've been using a flux pen for years and wouldn't want to be without one. An alternative is flux paste - like toothpaste it comes in a tube and can be applied with the fingers.

Tip Tinner and Cleaner
When you first fit a new soldering iron tip it will be bright, shiny and very difficult to work with. The solder will not stick to it and so you cannot "tin" the tip properly. Some people will use fine sandpaper to break in a new tip but I prefer to dip the new tip into some RadioShack "Tip Tinner and Cleaner". This starts the process nicely. It's also a good idea to dip the soldering iron after you are finished, and before you switch off. I find that it really helps to prevent the tip from wearing out prematurely.

Fume extractor
If you do a lot of soldering, then you need to get something installed on your bench to divert the fumes away from your face. It's not recommended to breath in solder fumes at all. I use a small fan, but a proper extractor is a very good idea.

Wire Cutters
The final piece of essential equipment is a pair of sharp, flat bottomed wire cutters. These are used to trim off excess component wire (the "leg") after soldering. The flat bottom is important to get the cut as close to the PCB as possible. Don't go too cheap with these, I paid about for mine.

That just about covers the basics of soldering, I would also think about getting a loupe (magnifier), some solder wick and solder "sucker" for removal, wire strippers and isopropyl alcohol and an old toothbrush for flux removal.

Very soon I'll put together a series of articles on soldering technique - covering basic through-hole assembly, and the more advanced surface-mount technology.
